Anxiety
Stress is an everyday part of life. How we handle that stress is up to us. My clinical work around anxiety is largely focused on regaining control of our emotions, and no longer feeling victimized by our automatic thoughts and behaviors. By utilizing coping skills to help reduce stress, and increase our ability to deal with stressful situations, we are more able to choose logical responses to stress rather than knee-jerk emotional reactions. Some of the clinical issues addressed can include general anxiety, specific fears/phobias, social anxiety, performance anxiety (public speaking, test taking, sexual performance, ect.)

TDLC services and specialties

I offer a number of psychological services that help individuals, couples, families, and groups to create profound and lasting change. Early sessions start with goal setting, followed by creating a plan of action we all agree upon. Intermittent reviews are done to ensure desired progress is being made according to our plan. Whether engaging in individual counseling, smoking cessation, or public speaking, the intention is for the client to achieve the goals they set out to accomplish. The section below highlights some of my specialities and services. If you have a goal in mind that is not stated, contact me; there is no fee for initial phone consultations.

“The Other Trinity: Self-Care”
We all need it, we all think about it, we just don’t always make it a priority. Self-care is vital to being a happy/healthy adult and many of us seek out external factors to help deal with stress. I propose a slightly different way of going about taking care of ourselves - me first!

“For the night is dark and full of terrors.”
There are many ways we get “stuck” in a rut, finding ourselves immobile; knowing what we “should” do, but not being able to actually take the steps to make it happen. Being able to turn that fear into something that actually motivates us to take action is a simple three-step process.
